Committed to Giving Back
Essential Pharmaceuticals devotes our time, effort and money to helping the community. Our goal is to spread comfort and happiness to those that need assistance. Below are some or our most recent sponsorships, charity work and donations.
TASK — Trenton Area Soup Kitchen
To start 2017 on the right foot, some of our corporate employees volunteered at TASK. As we arrived at 10:30, the line was already wrapping around the building with men, women and children who needed a meal. We were given our aprons, hairnets and name tags and quickly put to work serving a hot lunch on a cold day to over 300 recipients.
BMS Toy Drive
For the 4th year in a row, Essential (and Allan and Denise Weber) have held a Toy Drive for the pediatric patients at BMS Children’s Hospital. This year they were able to donate over 200 toys from donations from their office building and a “bring a toy” party that was held at the Weber home. The toys were brought to the hospital on December 23rd. As they were received, the head of the Child Life Team said “All 120 beds are filled this Christmas (mostly with children ages one to five). This will make their holiday so much happier.” They brought the unwrapped toys to their staging area where they would be inspected and wrapped. Thank you to all who donated and supported this cause!
The Joshua Harr Shane Foundation was founded in 2000 and has provided the wonderful opportunity for the legacy of Joshua Harr Shane to live on in the lives of those he loved. JHSF gives back to the community; to help those in need of care, support, assistance and love and those less fortunate.
Camp Michitanki (Michigan Transplant Kids) is a summer camp created by the U-M Transplant Center in 2003 to provide an exciting camping experience for children 7-15 years of age who have had an organ transplant.
The Patient Assistance Fund is used to help offset this financial burden by temporarily assisting those in need with the cost of lodging, gas and food.
